Author Night at the Library

Soda Springs Library held an Author's Night on Monday, where those interested in reading, writing, and the process of becoming a writer could come and chat with a handful of local writers.

Those in attendance included children's/YA author and blogger Maggie O'Cassiry from Lava Hot Springs, science fiction author N.D. Melander from Soda Springs and Grace, "Clean Romance" writer Megan Walker, adventure, humor, and memoir writer Dennis Perry, and doctor and poet John Franson.

Each of the writers was incredibly generous with their time, and talked about their writing with a clear sense of passion and excitement.  The range of materials was also impressive, with everything from serious science fiction to children's books, and wild historical memoir to meditative poetry written with the landscape as an inspiration.
