Lady Cardinals Struggle In Conference Play

Last week the Lady Cardinals continued conference play taking on a pair of opponents.  They began their week with a home game against West Side.  The Lady Cardinals got off to a solid start in this game.  Soda Springs scored three runs at their first at bat and were able to hold the Lady Pirates scoreless.  In the second inning the game flipped on the Lady Cardinals.  After not scoring any runs themselves the Lady Cardinals gave up ten runs to West side.  The third inning was scoreless for both teams and then in the fourth the Lady Cardinals battled back to within three runs.  That is as close as they would get.  The Lady Pirates continued to push the lead and eventually walked away with a ten run victory.

In their second game of the week the Lady Cardinals traveled to Declo to take on the Lady Hornets.  This game was fast and all Declo.  In the first two innings the Lady Hornets scored five runs in each inning to the Lady Cardinals zero runs.  Soda was able to score a single run in the third but the Lady Hornets added eight ending the game early.

The Lady Cardinal wrap up their regular season this Thursday with senior night.  They will host a tough Malad squad and could use all the fan power they can get so show up early to celebrate the seniors and stay for a fun-filled game.
