Your CMC Health Fair Questions Answered!

What type of health services or screenings will be available to attendees?

We will have booths from most every department and service line of the hospital, including orthopedics/sports medicine/physical therapy, urology, ENT, women's health, and so much more. We will also have booths from home health and hospice companies, permanent jewelry, sourdough bread, homemade treats, dentist offices, chiropractors and more.

Who should attend?

Everyone! It's a family friendly event with something for someone in every age group!

New/unique features?

We are super excited to be hosting this year's health fair in Grace at the brand new events center at the fairgrounds this year. We have a couple of reasons for the change. 1) We are super grateful to the Soda Springs School District for allowing us to use their space at the middle school in the past, but we have quickly outgrown that space. The event has gotten so big over the last 2 years that we needed more space, for both vendors and participants. 2) The event center in Grace is a little more centrally located for our entire county. Our mission at CMC is to provide health resources to the entire county, and a central location is the most tangible way to prove that we value every resident’s health, regardless of their address. We want residents to know that we value every county community member, and not just those in Soda.

Will there be opportunities for people to speak one-on-one with healthcare providers?

Absolutely! We will have many of our team members at booths this year, interacting with participants, providing information about their departments, their services, and what they do, and answering any questions attendees may have.

Are there costs?

No, the event is totally free to attend. There are costs associated with the lab draws. I'll attach the flyer with the information about what labs are being offered and how much.

Biggest Health Concerns?

I think what people are most excited about are the discounted lab draws. That's always a big draw for people coming to the health fair. In addition to that, our booths are highlighting some of the service lines that provide solutions to widespread local issues like aging, physical labor, and preventative care.

We'll have a booth about colonoscopies because they remain the gold standard for preventing colon cancer. By highlighting this service, we hope to demystify the procedure and encourage early detection, which is lifesaving.

Many in our community lead physically demanding lives. Our Pain and Spine service line is designed to help residents reclaim their mobility and manage chronic discomfort without having to travel hours away for specialized care. Along with that, we are incredibly excited to introduce Dr. Morgan, our new neurosurgeon. Bringing neurosurgery to a local level is a game-changer; it means our neighbors can receive high-level surgical intervention for complex spine and nerve issues right here at home.

We are also super excited to show off our new Wellness Clinic and all that it has to offer. While we are incredibly proud of the services we can offer to sick patients, we are thrilled to offer wellness and preventative services to improve metabolic and performance health, like DexaScan, gut health, sleep medicine, functional medicine, hormone replacement therapy, and more. We also love having the ability to provide services that make our patients feel and look their best too, like IV therapies, IM injections, massage therapy, and aesthetics. It's really an exciting time for growth at CMC!

How can attending a health fair make a difference in someone's overall health or wellness journey?

Attending a health fair is often the "spark" that ignites a long-term lifestyle change. For many, it’s the only time all year they sit face-to-face with a provider without the stress of a formal doctor's office setting. It’s a casual environment where a simple 5-minute conversation with someone from the hospital can demystify a medical concern that a resident might have been brooding over for months. A health fair isn't just about a single day of screenings; it’s about activation. It turns passive concerns into active health plans. We want to make healthcare personal and we want to give our neighbors the tools and the confidence to take the next step in their wellness journey—right here in their own backyard.
