Grace American Legion Auxiliary names Girls and Boys State Delegates
Girls State
The Grace American Legion Auxiliary is sponsoring two Grace High School juniors to attend Girls State in Nampa in June 2026. These girls will spend one week learning about American government and politics. They will be involved in party platforms, legislative, passing bills, and running for a state official. Along with that they will be making new friends and having good times.

Tyelor Turner is the daughter of Chad and Brandi Turner of Grace. She is involved in BPA, cheerleading, band and drama. She’ also involved in FFA and enjoys raising pigs for the fair where she has received awards for Reserve Champion and Grand Champion. Tyelor enjoys giving service. She will be traveling to Belize this summer with a school class. Her future plans are to attend college to major in biology or veterinary science.

Brooklyn Porter
Brooklyn Porter is the daughter of Rick and Heather Porter of Grace. Brooklyn is involved in track, volleyball, BPA, speech and NHS. She enjoys the outdoors, sports psychology, and giving service. She is outgoing and energetic. Brooklyn would like to study sports medicine in college. She wants to get married and raise a family in Idaho.

Boys State
The Grace American Legion is Sponsoring Paden D Lester from Grace to attend Boys State in June. He is a junior at Grace High School. He will be spending one week at Gowen Field near Boise learning and participating in American government and politics. He will be involved in party platforms, legislature, passing bills, running for state officials and visiting the state capitol. Along with that, he will be making new friends and having good times.

Paden Lester
Paden is the son of Randy and Kori Lester. Paden is currently the Vice President of the local BPA Chapter where he’s been involved in many oral expressions. He’s also been involved in social dance, drama, track, baseball, basketball, and golf. He has worked hard in the potato harvest and works for the City of Grace in the summers.
