Clarence "Clancy" Burton
Clarence “Clancy” Burton slipped away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on March 25, 2026. Born November 20, 1944, he spent most of his early years on the farm in Grace, Idaho. He served a church mission to Texas and served in the Army for 13 years. In 1981, he and his loving wife Sheila Rowsell moved their family to Hurricane, Utah where they spent almost 30 years building a beautiful life together with their 5 kids. After losing his wife in 2009, he was lucky to find Janis Crookston, and they spent a happy 16 years together snowbirding, gardening, and growing old together.
He was a hard worker, a patriot, a dedicated husband and father, a faithful friend, and an expert craftsman. He was always good for a laugh or a new joke or a card game around the table. If you were lucky enough to know him, we ask that you pass on his “I Can” attitude and all that you learned from him. We will miss the man who taught us to laugh and forgive, and his blue eyes and quick smile.
