Wrestling All County Honors

It’s time to name our All County Wrestling Honors.  Giving honors in individual sports is a little more difficult than team sports.  In a team sport you can have a good player on a team that maybe has not performed well.  In that scenario we don't necessarily punish the player.  However in individual sports like wrestling you are going one on one and there is a clear winner at the end.  Many of the wrestlers on our list faced other wrestlers in the county more than once this season.  If a particular wrestler was victorious in those matches it would be hard to justify the other wrestler getting the all county award.  I guess what I am saying is that these honors are pretty cut and dry.  For this year's All County Honors we will select the top wrestler in each weight class.  Although there are some weights where there were no local wrestlers so they will be skipped.  In addition to selecting a wrestler for each weight we have also selected an overall All County Wrestler of the Year for both the boys and the girls.  We will include each wrestler's record for the year as well as any other accolades they may have received.  So without any further ado here are your All County Wrestlers for 2026.

 All County Boys Wrestler Of The Year: Elijah Dilworth from Soda Springs.  Elijah capped off his senior year with a season record of 45-1 and a state championship.  Elijah also earned over 150 wins in his career as well as being a four time district champion as well as a four time state placer.  Elijah’s season was near perfect and could not have ended on a higher note.

All County Girls Wrestler Of The Year: Bella Eddins from Grace.  Bella finished her season with a 47-6 record and a fourth place finish at state.  Bella has consistently been one of the top girl wrestlers in the county since taking up the sport.  Bella is just a junior this year and no doubt will be back at state next season.
