Girls Basketball All County Honors

Mar 17, 2026 01:13PM ● By Jody Reeves

Courtnee Gronning has been selected as the All County Player Of The Year.

With the winter sports season quickly drawing to a close it is time once again for us here at the Idaho Enterprise to select our All County teams.  This is never an easy process and it seems to get more difficult each year.  We would love to include every girl if we could but that would defeat the purpose and diminish the honors of those that get mentioned.  We understand that not all will agree with the process we use to make our selections. Please do know that we spend hours watching and studying each of our local teams and have put a great deal of time and effort into this process each season.  Our selections are not solely based on statistics.  I personally have always insisted that the intangibles be considered in this process.  Attributes such as leadership, sportsmanship, and effort are all just as heavily weighted as scoring, steals and rebounds.  In an effort to include as many athletes as possible we will once again be naming a first and second all county team as well as three individual all county titles one of which is new this season.  The three individual titles are Player of the Year, Sixth Man of the Year and our new category Rookie of the Year.  The Rookie of the Year award does not necessarily mean that it is their first year playing.  It more encompasses a player's first year playing a significant amount of varsity minutes.  As mentioned before this is never an easy process and this year's selections were particularly difficult when it came to making the cut between the bottom couple of first team selections and the top few girls in the second team selections.  Again know that we put a lot of time and effort into these selections and did not take them lightly.  Our hope is that by continuing these selections that it can shine a little more light on the efforts of these young athletes.  We also hope that if you get the chance you will congratulate them on receiving this honor.  So without further ado here are this year's All County Honors recipients starting with the Player of the Year.

Player of the Year: Courtnee Gronning of Soda Springs.  Gronning was the heart of the Lady Cardinals this season.  Any time she spent on the bench the team on the floor did not have the same feel.  When she was in the game you always felt like there was a chance of seeing something special.  Courtnee’s leadership and effort were unmatched this season.  At the conclusion of nearly every game you could see on her face that she had given it her all and left everything out on the court.  Congratulations Courtnee.

6th Man of the Year:

Ellie Wood has been selected as the All County 6th Man of the Year.

Ellie Wood of Soda Springs.  Wood was faced with some trials this season.  She began the year getting some starts but was eventually relegated to coming off of the bench.  Being a senior this can be a tough pill to swallow but Ellie did not let it affect her play when she would get into games.  She always seemed to come up with a big shot at crucial times and was very aggressive and scrappy on defense.  Ellie contributed to several of the team's wins this season.  Congratulations Ellie.

Rookie of the Year:

Olivia Rindlisbaker is this years All County Rookie of the Year.

Olivia Rindlisbaker of North Gem.  The young freshman was a spark of the Lady Cowboys all season long.  For being one of the smallest players in the county Olivia always impressed spectators and opponents with her ability to score from just about anywhere on the court.  She was very active on both ends of the court coming up with several steals on defense.  Olivia plays with an intensity that she hides behind her ever present smile.  Congratulations Olivia.

If Grizzly fans are wondering where their girls are you are about to see.  The Lady Grizzlies solidified their spot as the top team in the county this season.  They played potentially the most difficult schedule of any local team and came away with the most wins including two head to heads with Soda Springs.  They played great team ball which made it hard for any one girl to stand out.  These are some of the reasons why you see so many Lady Grizzlies listed below.

First Team All County

Presliegh Steadman (Grace)

Callie Yost (Grace)

Anna Davis (Soda Springs)

Tessica Jorgensen (Grace)

Kallie Stoddard (Grace)

Second Team All County

Kamryn Mansfield (Grace)

Amanda Cooper (Grace)

Rosie Harris (Soda Springs)

Jayden Parker (Soda Springs)

Carlie Hatch (North Gem)
