Moose relocated from Soda Springs
On December 31st, 2025, the Soda Springs Police Department was made aware of a moose traveling through town in the early morning hours. The moose decided to take residency within the city limits, and Idaho Fish and Game was contacted. The moose appeared to be a yearling that moved around town over the next few days, but would not leave the city, finding refuge in numerous residents’ backyards. On January 2nd, 2026, working with Idaho Fish and Game, the young moose was tranquilized, removed, and safely relocated away from town.
