Jan 12, 2026 03:05PM ● By Jody ReevesThe Grace boys and girls wrestling teams made their annual trip to Kemmerer Wyoming over the weekend to attend the Joe Aimone Invitational Tournament. The Grizzlies were not large in numbers at this tournament but those that did make the trip saw some success especially on the girls side.
The Grizzly men had just five wrestlers participate with the majority of them limited in experience. Considering that fact the boys represented well with one wrestler standing out above the rest. Gabe Wiegman (126 lbs) was unable to secure a win in the tournament but did put up a good fight in a couple of matches. Talyn Boyd (174 lbs) saw some of his first action of the season and as he did so picked up a win over a Rich County wrestler and finished in seventh place. Christian Barrera (215 lbs) finished in fourth place picking up wins over Lyman and the host school Kemmerer while adding eleven team points for Grace. Jackson Juncker (165 lbs) did very well placing third overall while collecting four wins over two Bear Lake wrestlers, a Mt. View wrestler and a Wind River wrestler. Finally senior standout Carter Kimball (138lbs) continued his redemption tour by dominating his bracket winning five straight matches and claiming the top spot in the tournament.
The Lady Grizzlies also had just five wrestlers in attendance with all five placing in the top three in their respective brackets. The Ball sisters continue to wrestle well this season with both girls finishing in third place in this tournament. Hayden Ball (115 lbs) picked up four wins with victories over girls from Kemmerer, Bear Lake, Saratoga and Big Piney. Holland Ball (135 lbs) also earned four wins with all four coming by way of pinning her opponents. Holland picked up wins over Wind River, Bear Lake, Mt. View, and Saratoga. Skyla Cloud (155 lbs) won five of her six matches and finished in second place. Skyla also won all her matches by pinning her opponents that included wrestlers from Weber, Bear Lake, Big Piney, and Lyman. The final two Lady Grizzly wrestlers were able to go undefeated and claim the top spot in their bracket. Bella Eddins (125 lbs) grabbed three wins by pin and one by medical forfeit on her way to taking the top spot and earning eighteen team points for Grace. Adeline Clark (100 lbs) had to win five matches to earn her first place finish which she did with four pins and a win by disqualification. Adeline earned a whopping twenty six team points for Grace who as a team finished fifth out of fifteen teams.
