Another Fantastic Fair is in the books
Grand Marshall Emma Renee Ellis Christensen and family led the parade.
For many, the fair is one of the definite highlights of the year. While it’s likely that there are some people out there that could take it or leave it, considering how much there is going on during the week, it’s fair (ahem) to say that most people in Caribou County will take it. Over the week, visitors to the Fairgrounds were entertained by rodeos with both kinds of horsepower, concerts, talent contests, animal competitions, kids games, parades, the packed market animal sale, and of course, food. In addition to all of that, it was the first chance for many to get a glimpse of what the county’s new Event Center, located on the fairgrounds in Grace, is all about. While we won’t be able to bring you everything that happened at the fair in this single issue, we’ll try to get in as much as we can, and reserve a few stories for down the road.
In this issue, you will find a rundown of the rodeos that took place during the fair (pg.12), the Market Animal Shows (pg.3), some of the events from Kids Day and the parade, some of Caribou County’s Open Class category winners (pg.4), the Kids’ Market (pg.9), and a fun family 5K story on page 10.
There is a lot more to get to, and we will bring you the full market sale and Open Class results once we have them, as well as reports from some of the other fun things that happened throughout the week, like Caribou’s Got Talent, the Mullet contest, the Cutest Pet Contest, motor sport nights, music, and more. Stay tuned, but we’re going to take a rest for a day or two!
