Leona Kay Faith Slane

Leona Kay Faith Slane, 57, of Grace Idaho, entered into God’s care when she passed away on April 27, 2025.
Leona, called Kay by family, was born July 27, 1967, to Carl and Sarah Faith in Guymon, OK. Kay graduated from Goodwell High School in 1985 and went on to get her bachelor’s degree with honors from Oklahoma Panhandle State University in 1989. She began her nursing career in 1991. She married the love of her life, John C. Slane, in January of 1997 and moved to Idaho where they loved and raised a son Kalen Weldon together. She loved her career as a nurse and was a pillar in the travel nursing community who knew her as Epi, where she became a published author of Highway Hypodermics: Travel Nursing. She loved big, loved her career, and loved her family so much they decided to travel, homeschool, and make an adventure out of every opportunity together! Her hobbies included spending time with her first best friend, her dad, in the shop, and any time she could get with her brother on the golf course or in the boat was a must! She made trips to hug all the new nieces and nephews she could and made regular calls just to talk to mom.
Kay was preceded in death by John Slane, Carl Faith, Charles & Lelia Josephine Faith, John Faith, Velma Hebberd, Ralph & Lola Reust, Carlos & Melton Reust.
She is survived by her son Kalen Weldon, mother Sarah Mills, bonus dad JR Mills, brother Russell Faith and Marcy Faith and their children and grandchildren, uncle Melvin Reust, bonus sister Nancy Sparrow, David & John Mills, Eugene Faith, and chosen grandchildren Isaac Yoder and Jaycob Mansfield.
