Wendy Lester

Wendy Lester 72, Grace, Idaho passed away suddenly on her favorite holiday, Halloween, October 31,2024 following a short battle with cancer. Wendy was born on January 19,1952 in Soda Springs, Idaho to Albert Marion Turner and Edith Melva Call Turner.

She married Ron Perkins and with him had 2 children, Michael Perkins and Ronette Perkins Kofoed. They divorced. She then married Dale Ray Dursteler and had Aimee Dursteler Rowland. They were later divorced. Then she met and married the love of her life Reid Lester. They were married on October 14th, 2000, in her beautiful backyard that was her pride and joy. Together, Reid and his girl built their home with their own hands on the property and lived till present. Wendy was the most talented woman at everything she did. Be it her flower beds, cooking, baking, baskets, paintings, quilted holiday decorations, and even making buttons to add to her button collection. She has left behind so much beautiful art, in many forms, just like her, beautiful. Wendy loved the mountains and berry picking. Although her favorite was probably driving around listening to music or walking off and "getting lost" in her words.

Wendy is survived by her loving husband Reid, her children Mike, Ronette, and Aimee as well as her bonus kids Reid Phillips, Tabitha Browning, Greg Murray, Bruce Murray, Brenda Wyler, Penny Thompson, 22 grandchildren, and 30 great grandchildren that she loved very much. She is preceded in death by her parents, a grandson Curtis Call Kofoed, her brother Lee, and bonus daughter Sherrie Allred.

Wendy's family will meet with friends and family on Saturday, November 9th, 2024 at 12:30 followed by a service at 2:00 at the Sims Funeral Home in Soda Springs, Idaho. As per Wendy's wishes, she was cremated with no burial.
