Itafos donates to the Senior Center

Mark Kirby and Forrest Pipkin presented members of the Senior Center board with a check for $10,000.
Itafos recently gave a generous donation to the Caribou County Senior Center. The $10,000 donation will go a long way toward supporting the many operations of the center, which is the only one of the most important resources in the county for senior citizens. Southern Idaho has a statistically large number of residents over the age of 65, and the senior center is one of the most active locations in the county for gathering, participating in activities, sharing meals, and a large number of support activities.
While the Center is supported by funding from the county as well as other sources including its own in-house thrift store, donations like this bequest from Itafos are critical to its ability to provide services to those who need them. In addition to the meals which are served every Wednesday and Friday, the center also provides card games, dancing classes, and a great place to sit and have a chat when you’re downtown. As a community treasure, its ability to operate is important to everyone, and the staff and administration of the center extend hearfelt thanks to Itafos for making the center an important part of its outreach.
The check was presented to the board by Mark Kirby and Forrest Pipkin, and received by board members Lucetta Holt and Peggy Gould, and Director and assistant director ShaLayne Bartschi and Melissa McDowell.
